Medicare Enrollee News
All states have a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) which is funded by the Medicare program. QIOs are responsible for reviewing the medical care provided to Medicare patients. In South Dakota, the QIO is the South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care. At the Foundation, we work to protect the rights of Medicare beneficiaries and improve the quality of their care. Our licensed health care professionals review medical charts, respond to beneficiary complaints, hold Medicare beneficiary education programs and work on quality projects to identify areas where care to Medicare recipients needs improvement.
We designed this section of our web site specifically to answer some of your questions in the following areas:
Rights of Medicare Beneficiaries Medicare Resources Publications Beneficiary Complaints Process Welcome to Medicare Exam Medicare’s Preventive Services My Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Annual Medical Services Review Reports
If you have any trouble finding what you need or any questions not covered here, please feel free to call us at (800) 658-2285 or (605) 336-3505. We look forward to serving you!
