The privacy of our visitors is important to South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care (SDFMC). We understand that visitors to www.sdfmc.org need to be in control of their personal information. Therefore, the following is SDFMC's Internet Privacy Policy:
You do not have to give us personal information to visit our site. If you choose not to provide personal information, you can still visit www.sdfmc.org.
We collect personally identifiable information (name, e-mail address, physical address, and other unique identifiers) ONLY if specifically and knowingly provided by you.
Personally identifying information collected will be used ONLY for such purposes as are described at the point of collection.
SDFMC will protect the personal information that you share with us. SDFMC does not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personal information to third parties.
While SDFMC will make every attempt to protect the personal information that you share with us, electronic mail is not secure against interception. If your communication is very sensitive, you may want to send it by postal mail instead.
SDFMC's web site automatically collects and records the following information about each visitor:
- Date and time of visit
- Where visitor goes in our site
- Type of computer (Mac, PC, Unix) and browser visitor is using
- Search engine used to find site and key words which brought visitor to site
- Location of visitor's machine (by state, not street address)
Many web sites are gathering this information, though most do not notify visitors. With this information, SDFMC can track the number of "hits" or visits to our site, the sections which are the most popular and the success of browsers to direct visitors to our site. SDFMC does not sell or transmit this information to any other party or organization. It is solely for our own use in improving our web site.
SDFMC may occasionally update this policy. Notice of revisions will be posted here.
We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information.
